17th April 2011, Sunday – Day of Outings

“Theres gonna be a time when people say you cant do something or live your dreams. And theres gonna be a time when people say you cant sell out Madison Square Gardens, but you know what i say? NEVER. SAY, NEVER.”

-Justin Bieber-

Never Say Never Review:-

Personal View:

This movie is great to watch for Bieliebers and even non-Bieliebers. As this is the movie that really introduce us to how a teen sensation’s life. He is living in his dreams but there’s still ups and downs in life.

Justin is just like an ordinary teenage. Having lots of girls, and guys too, loving him even worship him. But everybody have someone who love them and someone who hate them in the meantime as well. As research shows there’ll be 1 hater when you have 10 people who love you.

When your lovers is more than your haters, you can just don’t really bother about your haters or even, be friend with them and you can improve more when they tell you what they don’t like about you.

No matter what’s your dream, go for it and never give up. When people’s trying to put you down, prove that they are wrong and who knows who you’ll be one day. So blow them away in the future. An ordinary Canadian kid like Justin can live in his dream, so can YOU!

If you’re serious about your dream, pain and critics is nothing. What you’re focusing on is the outcome and no matter how the road to your dream might be, you’ll still think that it’s fun and it really benefits you! =D

For those of you who think that the ticket for 3D is kinda expensive, the 2D one is enough, actually. You won’t miss lots of things as the 3D effects are not really that much and there’s just a few part of Justin popping out… And 3D is worth it, too. It’s your choice. =D

Plot:

The whole movie is a 10 days count down to what’s considered Justin’s most prestigious performance,  31 August ’10 in Madison Square Garden, which tickets were sold out in just 22 minutes. It also shows footage of the performances from his My World Tour with excited mostly young female fans and a very lucky girl being invited on stage to be object of his affection in several instances of the One Less lonely Girl Routine, and suprising random girls with free tickets to his concert (usually the front rows).

People around Justin, family and friends, were interviewed except Justin himself.

This film also included Justin who damaged his voice while he had fun with his old friends while he made a visit to his home town – Canada while being for the tour. He was then not allowed to talk for some days and thus, recovers enough to do the next performance at the Madison Square Garden after accepting the postponement of the Syracuse performance.

Old videos of Justin and some stories of his childhood is included in it. He was raised by his mom and he has a special bond with his dad and grandparents. He was then moved to Atlanta……

OUTINGS ;)

After the movie, I went out first to meet up with Carmen. The rest of them are still in th cinema SHOUTING.SINGING.SCREAM n SCREAM n SCREAM (worst than they are actually watching Scream 4).  And for sure, they took picture with the Justin Bieber’s CARDBOARD…….

When I’m having some studying with Carmen in Popular and here came the whole gang of crazy fellows that wanted to rule the whole place. They SANG.LAUGHED.PLAY.HAD REAL FUN in a silent bookstore… They actually did act like kidsKids are always kids… =D

High Tea time later on…

We have steamboat in Johnny’s Restaurant. Just Carmen and I have steamboat, actually.

OUR STEAMBOAT

PooiYee’s Set Lunch (Pineapple Fried Rice which looks like Yang Chow Fried Rice n Tom Yam Soup).

Vivian… She’s actually hiding from don’t know what. The girl who just got into a relationship.=D

Carmen . Yivian

Pooi Yee . Christina . Christina’s Cousin

LASTLY

Mid-April Updates

Hey I’m back! Planned to do some study today, but I just want to share everything so much here.

It has been a long and fun week. From The Prize-Giving Ceremony on Christina‘s birthday to hang out to watch Justin Bieber – Never Say Never 3D and, for sure, Christina‘s celebration to the last but not least Trip to HELP University College and Taylor’s University College.

THE MOST IMPORTANT – I am starting up my own site soon. Visit yivianho.com for more updates. It’ll be releasing on 28th April 2011 and I’ll swift everything here to there. Stay tune!!

15th April 2011, Friday.

It’s The Prize-Giving Ceremony. Honestly speaking, It’s the first time I get on stage to receive a prize on the Prize-Giving Ceremony. I’m so honour to be awarded the First Place in my previous class.

What I’m not really satisfied of this year is that only those who score 8As in PMR actually receive their angpau. In the previous years 6 and 7As have a share too. I’m not trying to be mean or what. Just some kind of personal feelings – feel cheated….. =(  I’m kidding, ok…

I’m actually very okay with not getting an angpau. =)

As the 15th is a very fun day! Angpau’s is something that come last to me! It’s our beloved Chirstina See-Kei Wong‘s birthday. The girl who’s known as Chris, Tina, TinaChris, SK Wong, See-Kei Wong, banana, buffalo, si gui,……..

Say YO! to my best bud -Christina!

It’s another ordinary recess…. (The N and the Extraordinaries) =D

The Crazy fellows…. There’s more of them, for sure..

Her imaginary CAKE!

I’ve no idea who took this and is this cup so interesting?? =P

The Prize-Giving Ceremony

Our school Sajak team…

The drama by 7 Production. It’s so funny and memorizing…

Sorry… I only have a picture that looks like a Prize-Giving Ceremony… So…. Carmie, don’t ask me to pay for copyright… =D

So…….

That’s all first. I’ll be uploading more tomorrow. And there’s photos uploaded on my Facebook album too.

Stay tune!

**REMINDER**

My official blog will be releasing on 28th April 2011. I’ll keep you updating soon and everything here will be swift there, no worries.

Being A Young Entrepreneur

One good thing about being young is the opportunity of exploring beyond your boundaries with a very good excuse – because we’re young. And this makes young entrepreneurship fun and ideal.

A big advantage that teenagers have is less responsibilities and more time to waste, unlike adults who are stretching their 24-hour life thinking on how to make a living. Although the risk would be immense with lack of experience and knowledge, a teenager can start with what he knows… basically, being young.

New entrepreneurs aging 16-21 are showing more vitality and perseverance to engage in a profitable market industry. Growing adolescent minds develop as fast as mobile companies introduce new breed of mobile phones. An ideal teenager can earn as much as $50 a day. Now, do this catch your attention?

Think Young

Majority of our population is composed of teenagers with curious mind. Introducing a new line of clothing that looks like a blast from the past would not catch any of their attention. When you think of putting up a business intended for the youth like yourself , it should coincide with your heart’s desire. Look at the path where you ‘re familiar to.

WANTS vs NEEDS

Practically, people’s always going for what they NEED instead of buying what they WANT. Recognize the difference? Something you want wouldn’t turn out as something you need. You would want apple juice to quench your thirst but all you need is water. Yet something you need would always be something you want.

But don’t settle down with what’s traditional or basic. Instead, add something to what’s already there. INVENT. Awake your innovative mind. IMPROVISE. Water will always be water but when you mix minerals and electrolytes, WHAM! An energy drink is now borned.

Be A Techie

Information before is wired up to a tube. But now, it flies with the wind. Computer technology is becoming a MUST for everyone. It has successfully improved the lifestyle of business establishments, big or small. If you try to dig into the internet, billions of advertisements flood on your screen. Why not clicking on one of them? You never know what and when it might interest you.

Is Money A Problem??

A penny for your thoughts? Nah nah… Keep your thoughts, I’ll keep my penny.

Putting up a business is a tough deal especially when you don’t have the appropriate amount of money to fund it. But where would a kid like you get it when your piggy bank has been used up? If you’re 13, talk convincingly to your parents or your close relatives and try to make them understand that you are old enough to run your own business and don’t let them think that you’ll just use the money for another addictive video game.

If you’re 16, you could borrow it from your friends or someone significant. The moment you turn 18, the opportunities to borrow money or capital would be higher. Business firms allowing enthusiasts to accumulate a certain kind of amount plus interest. Lending companies as we call them. With determination, you could see your money rolling.

P.S. Fine a cure for teenage immaturity.

P.P.S. Engage yourself with what you’re made of.

P.P.P.S. Don’t be satisfied sitting at one corner reading or memorizing your notes and  your textbooks as well.

P.P.P.P.S. Being small doesn’t mean you have to aim and act small.

P.P.P.P.P.S. Live to conquer.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Start with something NOW

YOU CAN LIVE YOUR DREAM!

The Generation of Angry Birds

Recently, not just kids or teenagers are addicted with their phones especially those who are using iPhones, Android’s and even non-phone devices iPad and iPod Touch; even adults who once used to nag at their children can’t let their hands off of the phone because of the puzzle video game: ANGRY BIRDS.

Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile. Inspired primarily by a sketch of stylized wingless birds, the game was first released for Apple’s iOs in December 2009. Since that time, over 12 million copies of the game have been purchased from Apple’s App Store, which has prompted the company to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones, such as those using the Android operating system, among others.

In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield. As players advance through the game, new birds appear, some with special abilities that can be activated by the player. Rovio Mobile has supported Angry Birds with numerous free updates that add additional game content, and the company has even released stand-alone holiday and promotional versions of the game.

Angry Birds has been praised for its successful combination of addictive gameplay, comical style, and low price. Its popularity led to versions of Angry Birds being created for personal computers and gaming consoles, a market for merchandise featuring its characters and even long-term plans for a feature film or television series. With 100 million downloads across all platforms, the game has been called “one of the most mainstream games out right now”, ”one of the great runaway hits of 2010″, and “the largest mobile app success the world has seen so far.” (adapted from Angry Birds - Wikipedia)

Angry Birds, in which the birds seek revenge on the egg-stealing pigs, is meant to be easily played in the checkout line and during other short windows of downtime — not just some but quite a number of players have trouble stopping. According to what Rovio said to The New York Times, people around the world rack up 200 million minutes of game play each day. (In a simple way, that’s equivalent to 16 human-years of bird-throwing every hour.) The company has achieved seven-million downloads, all without any direct advertisement of its own.

AND NOW……

Here comes the moment which human beings are turning abnormal….

Using a slingshot to launch birds at stationed pigs and various structures….

The time has come….

And you can see it in the screen of every cinema…

Noticing what human beings are doing….

….INTRODUCING TO YOU….

ANGRY BIRDS: THE MOVIE

Enjoy peeps. =D

PS. THE TRAILER IS JUST A SPOOF… =P

HAPPY BELATED APRIL FOOL!!

PRS Camp ’11 (17-18 March)

What an awesome, wonderful, fantastic, amazing, unbelievable, successful, exciting, beneficial, crazy, economic, encouraging, excellent, fantastic, interesting, joyous, memorable camp.

The 2-day camp had finally come to a full stop. I think everyone do enjoy in the camp. ;-)

OCs!! I really love you all so much!!! It’s so happy to work with you guys as a body, a club and a BIG FAMILY. Thanks Pey Minn, Yoi Ying and MS LAI for bringing all of this together. It really made our time and it’s memorizing.

Campers! Please let us see your best. I know that all of you can do a lot better but you chose to follow your friends. Hope that you’ll stop following, stand out and stretch yourself. Do remember friends make you and break you at the same time. Wish to see all of you shine. :D

Hera! My group… Muahahahaha… You’re awesome! I really hope I can spend more time with all of you and do my best to help all of you. I was busy arranging and distributing the t-shirts and Joe Yee was sick too. There were just 6 of you at first but only 5 left later on and without your facilitators (facis), you still can do so well and won the best performance. Keep it up and good job. Your performance was very impressive. HERA RULES!!!!

Hmmm… Let me think what I’ve left out…….

Yeah!!!

LDK 2! One word: WOW!!
Acting for so many three days are really tiring. I can’t stop laughing when there’s nobody. Very sorry to make everyone so worried and cry. But hope that everyone will benefit from it. Actually we’re very worried that some unplanned things will happen and suddenly something really went wrong and out of track, it’s such a blessed that everything was under-control. We did everything in purpose and it’s very scary….. :( but it’s such a success. :)

And before I’ve forgotten, I want to say sorry if I’ve said something wrong in the video session. I’ve forgotten to say it after the session as I was supposed to say it. And hope all of you do benefit from the session. :D

I LOVE PRS!
I LOVE EVERYONE!!!

God blessed!
:P

*videos with photos will be uploaded so soon*

Trip to KL – SCP and KLPAC

The 9th-SCP is on yesterday and we watched the movie – starring Dwayne ‘THE ROCK’ Johnson. Nice movie!

After that went to KLPAC to join Christina and those in drama workshop for the school trip. The peeps are having musical theater workshop while I arrived. And the musical we watched – THE LAST 5 YEARS – is more than awesome. It’s 90% of singing and 10% of talking.

There are two sides to every love story.

A fresh and contemporary musical from Tony-Award wining composer Jason Robert Brown. The Last Five Years opens klpac’s Resident Directors Season for 2011. The One-act musical will be directed by Co-Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director of klpac, Christopher Ling ( Best Director, Short + Sweet Musical 2010).

The Last Five Years is emotionally powerful and intimate musical about a young couple – a rising novelist and a struggling actress – who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show chronicles their relationship in a rather unconventional way: her story starts at the end of their relationship; his begins on the day they met. Funny and uplifting, the show captures some of the most heartbreaking and universally felt moments of modern romance.

Written by Jason Robert Brown, the story was inspired by his personal experience of a failed marriage. The musical premiered in Chicago in 2001 then produced off Broadway in the year after, and it won the 2002 Drama Desk Award for outstanding music and lyrics. The show has since been produced at almost every major regional theatre in the US, and has been seen in Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Spain.

klpac’s production of The Last Five Years stars Tabitha Kong (ADAM The Musical) and Jon Chew (ADAM The Musical, Birdy, Cock). Stephen Tok is musical director for the production, which marks his second collaboration with Christopher after his work on Michael John LaChuisa’s musical, Bernarda Alba, which was staged to huge success in March last year. The production will also feature projections designed by Candid Photography.

The Last Five Years will be Christopher’s only musical theatre piece for this year. After this, he turns his focus back to young people, directing T4YP’s (Theatre For Young People) ‘first mainstage production in May with a brand new ensemble –A History of Falling Things by British playwright James Graham.

I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU to watch this musical if you:

  • LOVE to watch LOVE STORIES
  • LOVE musical
  • LOVE singing
  • LOVE drama
  • LOVE acting
  • LOVE love
  • LOVE whatever

It’s a very very very nice musical that’ll touched your heart. Tab singing is extremely AWESOME, John is so CUTE and both of them are very PROFESSIONAL. Chris did a really great job too. “The man behind the show.” =D

Took some photos but, yeah, we basically took most in the toilet. haha.

WATCHED the video. EVERYTHING is in it.

Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

News after news. I just DON’T KNOW how to react to it. I’m very sorry to hear that, I really mean it. I feel like bursting into tears as I watched about 10 videos about the TSUNAMI that hit JAPAN. And NOW, there’s alert for the countries near by.

EVERYONE, please TAKE CARE and BE SAFE. GOD BLESS.
